Jesus, I believe that You came into the earth in a flesh, blood, and bone body. I believe You died on the cross for all my sins & for everyone else's sins, too. Jesus, I believe that You are alive today & are seated with the Heavenly Father. Please come into my life now. I forgive everyone who has ever offended me because You forgive me of all I've done. Baptism of the Holy Spirit
"So Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit."
John 20:21-22 NKJV
The newly Risen Savior not only conveyed the mission that He was giving to all of His disciples with these words, He also conveyed how they were going to be able to go about it fulfilling His mandate. The Lord wanted His disciples to take to heart that they were being sent by Him into the world to preach the Gospel in the same way that He had been sent by His Father to preach the Kingdom and destroy the works of the devil through His death, burial, and resurrection; and that they needed the same equipping that He had. They needed the wisdom, joy, counsel, peace, hope, love, faith, strength, endurance, and miracle-working-power that only the Baptism in the Holy Spirit provides.
In Acts 1:4-5, the Lord solemnly charged His disciples not to depart from Jerusalem to begin the mission He gave them until they had received the promised Baptism with the Holy Spirit. He knew they couldn't fulfill the call without Holy Spirit and neither can we. If you are saved but haven't received the Holy Spirit in this way, we encourage you to extend your faith and receive Him just as you did the Lord Jesus Christ. As promised, Holy spirit will come upon you to live your life before God and do the work that He has called you to do. If you haven't yet received Jesus as your Lord, pray the Salvation Prayer towards the top of this page first; then receive Holy Spirit's baptism (Prayer below). You'll be so glad that you did!
Prayer for the Baptism of the Holy Spirit
Heavenly Father, I thank you for the desire you've placed in your son or daughter's heart; to know you in a deeper, more personal and intimate, greater, and more powerful way. Standing in full agreement, in one accord, we ask you to give them the gift of the Holy Spirit; with the evidence of speaking on other tongues as You give them utterance. We thank You, for Holy Spirit's leading into all Truth in their life; deepening their revelation and understanding of You in their life. In the Name of Jesus. Amen and Amen.
